Shanto-Mariam School of Creative Technology undertook the challenge of changing the course of the lives of disadvantaged and abandoned children who were taken on board, with a commitment as envisioned by the Founder Chairman, Late Md. Imamul Kabir Shanto, and his legacy inherited by Dr. Ahsanul Kabir, Chairman, Shanto-Mariam Foundation, to provide them with decent living conditions, education, healthcare, and to allow them to grow with dignity and security.
The photo above depicts Md. Morsalin Kabir who was brought in from a rural location in Dinajpur. He was almost on the verge of being abandoned due to acute deprivations experienced by his family. His father is mentally retarded and not traceable now. His mother on the other hand works as a maid.
Md. Morsalin Kabir appeared bright and hence was given added attention to enable him to achieve his potential and cultivate his zeal for education. Md.
